The House Across the Street (1949) Wayne Morris, Janis Paige, Bruce Bennett

Wayne Morris looked good in this, as the star editor, playing with Alan Hale, father of Alan Hale Jr. who Wayne would act 3 years later. In those 3 years, he appeared to age quite a bit. (1949-1952). He died young of a heart attack, age 45. I can't but wonder if all that smoking he did in his flicks contributed. In any case, it's a shame for this heroic WWII flying ace.
